Hello All -

Mary Mitchell Miller Real Estate is "open" for business! As we "re-open" Vermont, real estate firms like all of Vermont's businesses must follow the Vermont Department of Health and CDC Guidelines. That means that listing, showing and selling properties is dramatically different today than it was just a few months ago and Mary Mitchell Miller Real Estate (MMMRE) is working hard to keep the business of selling and buying properties moving forward while maintaining the health and safety of everyone involved. We are adapting, adjusting and learning new tricks every day.

Here is a quick snapshot of some of some of the procedures and "best practices" we are following:*

  • Remote and distance meetings are still encouraged whenever possible. Lots of video and virtual tours: we've all become FaceTime and Zoom experts!

  • In-person showings and appointments are permitted with Vermont residents and visitors from some (but not all) of the adjacent counties in neighboring states (who are healthy and have not traveled).

  • In-person meetings are limited and appointments must be spaced out with at least 30 minutes between different customers.

  • No in-person contact with out-of-state visitors who are not from areas with a low infection rate and/or have not quarantined in Vermont or their home state. Quarantine means time at home with no contact other than your immediate family unit. No going to work, not shopping, no walks in the park.

  • When showing homes, we require everyone to wear a mask, limit touching things unnecessarily, and the State of Vermont requires an Access Questionnaire from all.

  • Our housing inventory is very low! If you are thinking about listing a house for sale, please contact us here.

  • If you are local and want to see a property, give us a call.

  • If you are planning to make a purchase, but are not in a hurry, please use this time to keep dreaming about Vermont real estate by using this website and be sure to like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updated information, fun facts and helpful hints, and stay with us as we navigate through these strange and interesting times. You can also sign up for our newsletter here.

The State's early and strong measures requiring Vermonters to Stay Home/Stay Safe and the 14-day quarantine requirement for both those residents of other states coming to Vermont and Vermonters returning home from other places, have been successful in limiting - to some extent - the worst of the scenarios facing us.  While this is far from over, Vermont is starting to see the results of our adherence to these measures and the numbers of new cases and deaths is slowing. We must stay the course as there could be a second wave. We need to keep that in mind and maintain our vigilance for social distancing, safe hygiene (masks, hand-washing, etc.) and "stay at home" orders within Vermont and our neighboring states.

Let's all do our best to #flattenthecurve and keep Vermonters and our visitor safe and healthy. Be sure to call or email us if you have questions or need additional information about any property listed for sale, or if you want to discuss the real estate market, property values, financing, or begin the process of buying or selling a home or land. We are here for you and look forward to connecting  soon.

With best wishes for your continued good health, safety and sanity!
